Ross’ career as an actor, director, playwright and producer spans almost twenty years. A graduate of the Creative Writing program at Boston University, Ross studied playwriting with Nobel laureate Derek Walcott and Heidemann Award-winning playwright Kate Snodgrass. Regional theatre credits include Tennessee Repertory Theatre, Kentucky Repertory Theatre, the Nashville Shakespeare Festival, Nashville Children's Theatre and Studio Tenn, playing such iconic roles as Macbeth, Long John Silver in Treasure Island, Tybalt in Romeo and Juliet, Paul in Barefoot in the Park, Demetrius and Flute in A Midsummer Night’s Dream, and Bob Cratchit in A Christmas Carol. He also toured the world as an entertainer with Crystal Cruises. Ross also served as Artistic Director of People’s Branch Theatre, producing progressive theatre and original works for Nashville. Directing and producing credits include Hedwig and the Angry Inch, True West, The Mystery of Irma Vep, and Galileo, as well as his own original work Three Gods Walk into a Bar. He is the co-creator and star of the acclaimed rock musical Straight Outta Hannibal: Mark Twain, Rock Star! Ross has appeared in several national and regional commercial spots and print campaigns including Southwest Airlines, Pepsi, the Home Depot, Wagner Paints, Legoland, Burlington Coat Factory, Meijer Supermarkets, and more. Ross is currently developing several television and film projects, writing sketch comedy, and blogging about being an actor and a father on the website DadMen.net. He lives in Los Angeles with his family.
